Avid travellers looking to discover the Seychelles’ island culture and heritage will be seduced by the Paradise Sun. From Creole cooking classes to treks through the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, guests will leave the resort feeling rested yet also more knowledgeable about local traditions.
Situated along the beautiful Cote d’Or beach, on Praslin Island’s east coast, the Paradise Sun hotel’s sea-facing rooms have open-air wooden terraces on which you will want to soak up the morning sun and dose off after a delectable lunch at the St Pierre, the hotel’s sand-floored beach restaurant. Some bedrooms are interconnecting, perfect to accommodate families with children.
One of the Paradise Sun’s more popular activities is scuba diving. Just a few metres from the beach’s edge are some twenty dive sites harbouring magnificent coral gardens teeming with exotic fish, sea turtles, rays and harmless sharks. A state-of-the art dive centre caters to all your underwater needs, including thrilling night dives. There truly isn’t a better destination for discovering the Seychelles’ aquatic life!
Landlubbers will want to rent a bicycle and circle the island, following the winding, yet picturesque coastal road. What better way to take in the breath-taking scenery while getting exercise. After the ride, head straight to the luxurious spa where Balinese therapists will sooth and relax your tired muscles. At the end of the day, embark upon a sunset cruise or simply watch the skies turn shades of pink and red from the intimacy of your private deck.
