Tout savoir sur l'expérience
The 20˚ Sud is a sumptuous boutique hotel nestled on a private coconut-lined beach near Pointe aux Canonniers in the north of the island. The building of colonial style – a Relais & Chateau property – with its wooden columns and seaside veranda, is set up as a private mansion, filled with objects discovered in an antique shop.
Its 36 rooms and suites are nestled in a garden whose luxuriant vegetation contrasts with the white walls. Elegant and refined, each is decorated to evoke its warm and unique personality: canopy beds, antique wood furniture, sheltered terraces, white porcelain bathroom fixtures, black and white photos depicting the island’s history.
The main restaurant with its shady deck by the pool and breath-taking sea views, offers guests a culinary journey – the chef favours’ exquisite locally grown and produced foods. Lady Lisbeth, the 1920’s era restored teak boat, allows diners to traverse the calm Grand Baie waters while dining under the stars. For those who want to discover new horizons, the 20˚ Sud Hotel will transport you to Ile Plate in a traditional pirogue, for a true deserted-island lunchtime meal in the ruins of a former quarantine barracks.
The hotel provides numerous activities and leisure pursuits for those who enjoy water sports, spa treatments, bicycle rides or simply tucking into one of the leather armchairs and reading a book. Step into a setting of beauty, where an atmosphere of perpetual holidays reigns.
