Avid golfers are in for a treat. The hotels we’ve picked boast three of the Indian Ocean’s most spectacular greens: think rolling hills, tropical jungles, endemic forests, inlets that serve as obstacles, birds with exuberant feathers and even deer crossings. Day 1

Upon your arrival at the airport of Mahé you will catch a connecting flight to Praslin. Private transfer to your hotel, the Constance Lémuria, a mecca for curious travellers seeking luxury. And while one’s definition of luxury is subjective, most would agree that flawless service is the ultimate luxury. The personnel at Lémuria will remember you drink your coffee black, and will go the extra mile to please you, all while remaining unobtrusive. Explore the hotel grounds, at the junction of two “anses,” two coves, Petite Anse Kerlan and Grand Anse Kerlan. Take the shuttle to Anse Georgette, arguably the best beach ever. The deserted sugar-sand beach is surrounded by a bright green jungle and lapped by the palest, warmest sea.

Days 2 & 3

The Lémuria’s gem of a golf course is also their best-kept secret. The stunning 18-hole course is like the most beautiful course one could possibly play on. Its one-of-a-kind views of the beaches below, the hues of blue and tropical forests will leave their imprint. After an early-morning round of golf, unwind on one of three beaches or by the two-tiered pool. At sunset, sip a drink at On the Rocks, a tiny patio nestled between gigantic pinkish-red rock formations that rise above the sea.

Day 4

Take a day trip to La Digue, a picture-book island fringed with immaculate beaches and gigantic granite formations. The island and its village - echoes of a bygone era - have remained unaffected by a rampant tourism. Instead, La Digue has a laid-back island ambiance with its small pastel-colored huts, ox-driven carts (the local taxi) and copra exploitations. La Digue is a delight for hikers, sun enthusiasts and foodies. Hop on a bicycle and cruise along the cove-studded coastline. For lunch we recommend Chez Jules at Anse Banane for the octopus salad and sea views or Le Repaire, which houses the island’s favorite restaurant - an italian trattoria.

Day 5

Early morning golfers will revel in the golden morning sun rays (there truly isn’t a better start to one’s day). If your partner isn’t into golf, they may consider a stroll along the deserted, palm-laced beach where Hawksbill turtles lay their eggs, or a small cove with a pink speckled granite rock-island (which you may swim to and jump off of). The swanky U Spa is where to unwind after a sun-soaked day. For dinner head to Diva, a gastronomic restaurant set on the golf course (the food is out of this world.)

Day 6

After a lavish breakfast buffet at The Legend, which sits at the summit of century old trees, pack your suitcases. Private transfer to the airport in Praslin. Flight to Mahé where you will catch a connecting flight to Mauritius. Private transfer to Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort, this beachside resort draws loyalty from families to passionate golfers. All are seduced by the idea of lounging in the sun on the beach with golden highlights, teeing-off on a championship golf courses, or indulging in some of the island’s best cuisine.

Day 7

At Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, one feels like being in paradise.Indeed, built in the mountainous landscape of Bel Ombre, enthusiasts will be delighted to follow the footsteps of some professionals such as Dylan Frittelli or Arjun Atwall who played on the Heritage Golf Club in December 2017 during the Afrasia Bank of Mauritius Open.

Non-golfers will be able to choose from a range of activities such as playing tennis or hiking in the Heritage Nature Reserve, owned by the Heritage Group. On the other hand, the Seven Colors Wellness Experience will be pleased to welcome you and provide you with a therapy that you’ll always remember.

Day 8

It's time to discover the Mauritian heritage by jumping in one of these old colorful buses in the direction of le Morne Brabant, a mountain full of history. Once there, you can enjoy the white sand beach and watch the kitesurfers make their show under your eyes. If you feel like it, you can even climb the mountain to discover the history of the abolition of slavery in Mauritius.

Day 9

A new round of golf in the morning and you're back to the hotel. For lunch, head to the C Beach Club for a "Sea, Sun and Sand" experience, the beach bar restaurant where you can chill all day long while savoring delicious food and enjoying the superb pool, overlooking the wild sea of the south of the island, an idyllic setting not to be missed under any circumstances.

Day 10

Wake up early for a helicopter ride (departure is on-site, at the hotel’s helipad). Golfers have another go at perfecting their score with an afternoon round while non-golfers take part in a water-sport or tennis.

Day 11

Make the most of your last night (which may very well simply consist of a good book relaxing on a beach chair.) Adventurous travellers can take the bus or a bicycle and follow the coastline. The location of the hotel on the South Coast is just a few steps away from other beautiful beaches. Private transfer to the airport.
